BullionPulse Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how MRB Ocean Limited trading as Ingeno handles information in connection with the BullionPulse mobile application. In this document, Ingeno, we, us and our refer to MRB Ocean Limited trading as Ingeno. This is the product-specific privacy policy for BullionPulse and is the policy referenced from the Apple App Store and Google Play listings.
For information about the Ingeno website and the company's general data handling, see the Ingeno Privacy Policy. Where this BullionPulse Privacy Policy and the Ingeno Privacy Policy address the same matter, this product policy applies to the BullionPulse app.
BullionPulse is a precious-metals portfolio and market-tracking application. It is designed to provide price tracking, portfolio tracking, performance calculations, alerts and market information. BullionPulse is not a brokerage, trading platform, investment adviser or regulated financial adviser.
2. Summary of our privacy approach
BullionPulse has been designed to minimise personal-data collection. The app does not use user accounts at launch, does not require usernames or passwords, and does not store your portfolio data on Ingeno servers. Portfolio information that you enter into BullionPulse is stored locally on your device and is not accessible by Ingeno.
| Area | Launch position |
|---|---|
| User accounts | No user accounts, usernames, passwords or account recovery. |
| Portfolio data | Stored locally on your device and not stored on Ingeno servers. |
| Cloud sync | Not enabled at launch. |
| Payments | Processed by Apple App Store or Google Play when subscriptions are available; Ingeno does not receive card details. |
| Subscription access | Managed using RevenueCat with anonymous customer identifiers, for subscription management, entitlement verification and purchase restoration. |
| Analytics | No Google Analytics, advertising analytics, marketing pixels or behavioural profiling in the app. |
| Crash reporting | Sentry is used in production builds only, for crash reporting and technical diagnostics. It is configured without session recording or replay, is not used for analytics or advertising, and does not intentionally collect your portfolio holdings, transactions, alerts, precious-metal values or other personal financial information. |
| Encrypted backups | You can create a passphrase-encrypted backup of your own on-device data and restore it yourself. Backups are created on your device, are never sent to or stored by Ingeno, and we cannot recover your passphrase. |
| Advertising | None at launch. |
| AI features | None at launch. |
| Push notifications | Not enabled at launch. Price and portfolio alerts are foreground-only in the current build. |
3. Information you provide to us
You may provide personal information when you contact us by email at [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected]. This may include your name, email address, the content of your message, technical details you choose to provide, and any attachments or screenshots that you send to us.
Please do not send us unnecessary sensitive information, payment-card details, passwords, private keys or complete financial records. If we need information to investigate a support issue, we will ask only for what is reasonably required.
4. Portfolio and app data stored on your device
BullionPulse portfolio data is stored locally on your device. This may include information you enter about precious-metal holdings, prices, quantities, currencies, portfolio calculations, alert settings and related app preferences. Ingeno does not store this portfolio data on its servers and does not have access to it.
Because this data is local to your device, deleting the app or clearing app data may delete your locally stored BullionPulse information. You are responsible for maintaining any backups that your device or operating system makes available to you.
You can also export this locally stored data as an encrypted backup file that you control; this export happens on your device and is not transmitted to us. See Backups and data portability below.
5. Backups and data portability
BullionPulse can create an encrypted backup of your data so you can keep your own copy or move it to a new device. This feature works entirely on your device. We do not operate an account system for it, and your backup is never sent to us or stored on our servers.
A backup includes the information the app keeps on your device, such as your portfolio holdings and transaction ledger, your price and portfolio alerts, your app settings (for example base currency, units, tax-year preference and privacy options) and a record of your local trial state. The backup is protected with strong encryption (AES-256-GCM) using a key derived from a passphrase that you choose. We do not receive, store, or have any way to recover your passphrase. If you lose your passphrase, the backup cannot be opened by anyone, including us.
When you save or share a backup file, it is handed to your device's standard sharing tools and goes only to the destination you select (for example, your Files app, a cloud drive, or another device). Once a backup leaves the app, it is stored wherever you choose to keep it, and the privacy and security of that location are governed by that service's own terms. We recommend storing backups somewhere only you control.
Restoring a backup is something you do manually on your device. It replaces the data currently in the app on that device. Restoring a backup does not grant any paid features; subscription access is always confirmed separately through the App Store.
6. Subscription and payment information
Where BullionPulse Premium subscriptions are available, subscriptions are purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play. Ingeno does not process card payments, does not receive your full card details, and is not the merchant of record for those store transactions.
BullionPulse uses RevenueCat solely for subscription management, entitlement verification and purchase restoration. RevenueCat may process anonymous customer identifiers, app-store transaction status, entitlement status, product identifiers, purchase dates, renewal status and similar subscription-management information. RevenueCat is not used for advertising, behavioural analytics or cross-app tracking. BullionPulse does not operate a separate Ingeno login system for subscription access.
7. Market-data requests and technical information
BullionPulse uses market-data providers to support precious-metals price tracking. The primary provider is MetalpriceAPI and the fallback provider is GoldAPI. Requests are routed through BullionPulse-controlled Cloudflare infrastructure. Users do not communicate directly with these market-data providers from the app.
When the app communicates with BullionPulse infrastructure, technical request information may be processed to provide the service, maintain security, diagnose faults and protect the reliability of the service. This may include IP address, date and time of request, app version, device or operating-system information made available by the request, request metadata and server logs.
8. Crash reporting and technical diagnostics (Sentry)
BullionPulse uses Sentry exclusively for production crash reporting and technical diagnostics, so that we can detect, investigate and fix application failures and stability problems. Sentry is enabled in production builds only.
Sentry in BullionPulse is configured in a privacy-conscious manner:
- it is enabled in production builds only;
- Session Replay and session recording are not used;
- it is not used for analytics, advertising, behavioural profiling or cross-app tracking;
- it does not intentionally collect your portfolio holdings, transactions, alerts, precious-metal values or other personal financial information;
- crash reports are limited to technical diagnostic information required to investigate application failures, such as app version, operating-system version, device type or model, error and stack-trace information, and similar technical metadata.
Crash reporting is used only to keep BullionPulse stable and reliable. It is not used for tracking or advertising. Because BullionPulse stores portfolio data locally and does not transmit it to Ingeno for normal operation, your financial portfolio data is not the subject of crash reporting.
9. How we use information
We use information only for legitimate product, support, security, compliance and operational purposes. These purposes include providing BullionPulse functionality, managing subscription access when subscriptions are available, responding to support and legal requests, maintaining app security, diagnosing service issues, complying with applicable legal obligations, and improving reliability and user experience.
| Information category | Main purpose |
|---|---|
| Support emails | To respond to your enquiry, investigate reported issues and keep a record of correspondence. |
| Local portfolio data | To provide app functionality on your device; this is not stored on Ingeno servers. |
| Subscription entitlement data | To determine whether Premium features should be available when subscriptions are live. |
| Technical request data | To provide market-data functionality, protect infrastructure and diagnose faults. |
| Crash and diagnostic data | To detect, investigate and fix application crashes and technical faults through Sentry. |
10. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use advertising networks or marketing pixels at launch. We share information only where necessary to provide the service, operate subscriptions when available, respond to your requests, comply with legal obligations or protect our rights and users.
| Recipient or service | Reason |
|---|---|
| Apple App Store | Payment processing, subscription management and platform services for iOS users when subscriptions are available. |
| Google Play | Payment processing, subscription management and platform services for Android users when subscriptions are available. |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management, entitlement verification and purchase restoration. |
| Sentry | Production crash reporting and technical diagnostics, limited to technical metadata; not used for analytics, advertising or tracking. |
| Cloudflare | Infrastructure routing, security and reliability for market-data requests. |
| Market-data providers | Retrieval of precious-metals market data through BullionPulse-controlled infrastructure. |
| Professional advisers or authorities | Where required for legal, compliance, security or regulatory reasons. |
11. International processing
The services we use may process information in different countries. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure that it is handled in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection requirements.
12. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including support, security, compliance and legal-record purposes. Support correspondence is retained for as long as needed to manage the enquiry and maintain appropriate records. Technical logs are retained only for operational, security and diagnostic purposes and should not be kept longer than necessary.
Portfolio data stored locally in BullionPulse remains on your device until you delete it, delete the app, clear app data or otherwise remove it through your device or app controls.
13. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal information that we hold about you. You may also have the right to object to certain processing or to complain to a data-protection authority.
Because BullionPulse stores portfolio data locally and does not store it on Ingeno servers, we may not be able to access, export, correct or delete that local portfolio data for you. You can delete local BullionPulse data by using available in-app controls, device storage controls or by deleting the app, subject to your operating system's behaviour. See the BullionPulse Data Deletion Policy for details.
To make a privacy request, contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
14. Children
BullionPulse is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, contact [email protected] so that we can review the matter.
15. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we process. No app or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should keep your device secure, use device-level protections where available, and avoid sending sensitive information to us unless necessary.
16. Future features
BullionPulse may add features in future releases, such as cloud sync, push notifications, additional analytics or AI-assisted features. If future features materially change how information is handled, we will update this Privacy Policy before or when those changes take effect.
17. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention through the app or store-release notes as appropriate.
18. Related documents
This BullionPulse Privacy Policy should be read together with the BullionPulse Terms of Service, BullionPulse Subscription Terms and BullionPulse Data Deletion Policy, and with the company-level Ingeno Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
