About Ingeno
We build focused software products with practical purpose, careful detail and long-term usefulness.
Our Story
Ingeno was founded with a clear conviction: the best software solves real problems without unnecessary complexity. We noticed that many tools for serious investors were either bloated with features nobody uses or too simplistic to handle real-world portfolio management.
Our first product, BullionPulse, was born from a genuine need — a precious metals portfolio tracker that handles the nuances that matter to physical gold and silver investors: FIFO lot matching, multi-currency positions, accurate cost-basis tracking, and real-time spot price monitoring.
We believe in building fewer things, better. Every feature in our products earns its place through demonstrated value, not feature-list padding.
Our Approach
Purpose-Driven Design
Every screen, every interaction, every data point serves a clear purpose. We design for the decisions our users actually need to make, not for visual impressiveness alone.
Domain Expertise
We invest deeply in understanding the domains we build for. For precious metals, that means understanding LBMA pricing, dealer premiums, storage considerations, and tax implications across jurisdictions.
Long-Term Thinking
Our products are built for years of reliable use, not quarterly feature announcements. We prioritise stability, data integrity, and backward compatibility over rapid iteration.
Privacy by Default
Financial data is sensitive. We collect only what is necessary for the product to function, we never sell user data, and we provide clear data deletion pathways.
What We Value
Accuracy over approximation. Financial tools must be precise. Our calculations are verified against established accounting standards, and we clearly communicate when approximations are used.
Clarity over cleverness. Complex information should be presented simply. We spend significant effort making sophisticated calculations feel intuitive to the end user.
Respect for the user. No dark patterns, no manipulative upselling, no artificial limitations designed to frustrate. Free users get a genuinely useful product; premium users get meaningfully more.
